When residents of predominantly black, low income neighborhoods notice an unusually high rate of cancer cases in their community, they take action against the companies polluting their land. But the fight for environmental justice gets tricky when they must also contend with the local government that incentivizes corporations to build in their communities, as well as the regulatory agencies that are in the pocket of the industry they are supposed to regulate.
